Who we’re looking for
NEBOSH qualified or equivalent, you will have significant experience in monitoring and developing health and safety provision in a similar role ideally within a facilities management service covering environmental services (street cleansing, grounds operations and arboriculture) or Building Maintenance Services.
You will possess the ability to drive change in a fast-evolving environment through training, interventions and guidance, so will need to demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills and want to proactively engage with our employees. Objective in your approach, you will be able to impartially investigate and evaluate any accidents to summarise your findings to management or regulatory bodies as required.

Norwich City Services Ltd (NCSL) are looking to recruit a Fitter to ensure that the Grounds Maintenance fleet is serviced, maintained, and repaired in accordance with work equipment & Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations (PUWER) requirements to give an efficient and cost-effective service to the Grounds Maintenance Department.
As a fitter you will hold a Level 2 Diploma in Horticultural or Mechanical Engineer, or higher, with a full driving licence and have experience of working with a range of commercial plant equipment.
You will attend breakdowns as and when required and also be responsible for road testing ride on mowers and other equipment, as well as ensuring that defected equipment is not taken out on site and isolated from use.
